Iraq Spirit Shines in Dubai: Thousands Celebrate First Iraq Festival

Iraq spirit shines in Dubai as thousands of Iraqis gathered for the first Iraq Festival at Expo City Dubai. The event brought more than 15,000 people together under one flag. Families, artists, and professionals arrived early to celebrate their homeland. The atmosphere was full of color, energy, and pride.

The festival took place at the Dubai Exhibition Center. It was organized by the social group “Emirates Loves Iraq.” Traditional food, folk music, and handmade crafts filled the halls. Meanwhile, artists displayed paintings of Baghdad, Basra, and Mosul. As a result, many felt connected again to their roots.

Moreover, the event attracted diplomats and cultural leaders. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Ambassador Mudhafar Mustafa al-Jubouri attended the celebration. They spoke about friendship and cooperation between Iraq and the UAE. In addition, they praised Iraqis for their strong role in Emirati society.

Sheikh Nahyan said Iraq has always inspired Arab culture. Furthermore, he expressed hope for Iraq’s continued growth and stability. Therefore, the UAE remains ready to support Iraq’s goals. Later, several Iraqis received awards for their success in business, science, and art.

Al-Jubouri thanked the UAE for its hospitality. He noted that cultural events strengthen trust and understanding between nations. Meanwhile, he urged Iraqis abroad to preserve their heritage. He said every Iraqi carries a piece of home wherever they go.

The festival also followed a recent diplomatic visit. Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. They discussed projects in trade, energy, and transportation. Consequently, both countries plan to expand cooperation in the coming years.

Finally, the celebration closed with music and cheers. Children danced while elders shared stories from Iraq’s past. The crowd waved flags and sang together. Every voice echoed the same message — Iraq spirit shines in Dubai. As people left, many felt pride and hope. Once again, Iraq spirit shines in Dubai.
