Kuwait innovation hub gained fresh momentum on Friday when His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah toured the Sabah Al Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SACGC). The visit underscored the country’s commitment to nurturing talent, advancing technology, and empowering creative citizens.
During the visit, the Prime Minister reviewed the center’s latest programs and initiatives aimed at supporting gifted Kuwaitis. SACGC serves as a national platform where science, creativity, and technology intersect. The center continues to expand opportunities for innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs who are shaping Kuwait’s knowledge based economy.
According to officials, SACGC has already secured more than 520 patents in global markets. Leaders at the center explained that commercialization rates of these patents increased by 20 percent in the last year. They stressed that these achievements reflect Kuwait’s potential to transform research into real world solutions.
Therefore, the Prime Minister expressed appreciation for the progress achieved at SACGC. He highlighted that the center represents a cornerstone in developing Kuwait’s innovation ecosystem. He also encouraged further efforts to link scientific creativity with economic opportunities that can benefit the nation as a whole.
Officials pointed out that SACGC is a subsidiary of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS). Through this affiliation, the center has strengthened its ability to deliver high impact programs. KFAS support enables SACGC to align with national priorities and deliver projects that push Kuwait’s technological boundaries.
Furthermore, SACGC has formed strategic partnerships with prominent institutions at home and abroad. These collaborations focus on advancing research, promoting innovation, and accelerating knowledge transfer. By leveraging these partnerships, the center ensures that Kuwaiti innovators remain connected to international best practices and emerging global trends.
The visit also highlighted SACGC’s role in building a culture of innovation among youth. Programs at the center encourage young Kuwaitis to pursue science and technology with creativity and confidence. Officials stressed that empowering the next generation remains essential for achieving long-term national goals.
The Prime Minister concluded his tour by affirming the government’s commitment to expanding support for innovation-driven initiatives. He emphasized that fostering creativity and scientific advancement will play a decisive role in realizing Kuwait Vision 2035. His visit reinforced SACGC’s reputation as the Kuwait innovation hub that drives economic growth, technological progress, and sustainable development.
With its expanding portfolio of patents, partnerships, and creative programs, SACGC continues to strengthen Kuwait’s role as a regional leader in science and innovation. The center’s progress demonstrates that Kuwait innovation hub is more than an ambition—it is a reality shaping the nation’s future.
