Bahrain Launches Awareness Drive to Protect Children from Negative Behavior

Bahrain has taken another strong step to protect children from negative behavior through an intensive awareness program launched this week. The initiative, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, aims to strengthen family and community roles in guiding young people toward safe choices.

The program began with a series of awareness lectures and engaging activities at Aisha Al Moayyed Hall. Families attended in large numbers, bringing their children to benefit from both educational and entertaining sessions. Organizers emphasized that the program combines fun with serious lessons, ensuring that children absorb important messages while enjoying themselves.

Lectures covered the risks of harmful behaviors and offered clear guidance on how children can stay safe. Additionally, the Criminal Evidence Department presented vital information about narcotics, raising awareness of the dangers they pose to young people. Meanwhile, Civil Defense experts conducted hands-on sessions in first aid, firefighting, and safe evacuation procedures. These sessions allowed children to practice skills that could one day save lives.

Organizers highlighted that the success of the opening day demonstrates the community’s recognition of its role in safeguarding future generations. They stressed that parents, society, and institutions must work together to protect children from negative behavior. Community partnership, they said, is the foundation for building a generation equipped with values, knowledge, and confidence to overcome modern challenges.

Children also enjoyed competitions, recreational games, and live performances, with motivational prizes distributed to encourage active participation. These fun elements created an atmosphere where learning blended naturally with enjoyment, leaving both children and parents satisfied.

Participants praised the initiative, noting that it promoted social responsibility and fostered a stronger sense of belonging. Many parents expressed hope that similar programs will continue, recognizing the importance of sustained efforts in child protection.

The awareness drive will continue until August 27, offering a diverse schedule of lectures, activities, and interactive sessions. By reaching as many families as possible, the program ensures that preventative messages spread widely across society.

Ultimately, the initiative reflects a shared national commitment: to protect children from negative behavior and prepare them to face the future with awareness, resilience, and unity.
