Bahraini women in humanitarian situations will soon receive better coordinated support. A new memorandum of understanding brings several national entities together for this purpose.
The Ministry of Social Development led the effort with strong collaboration. Partners include the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, the Supreme Council for Women, and the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.
Officials gathered at the Mubarak Jassim Kanoo Comprehensive Social Center in Sanabis for the signing ceremony. They agreed to coordinate responses and improve the delivery of social support services.
This step builds on Bahrain’s national strategy for social protection. It focuses on creating an organized framework to support Bahraini women in humanitarian situations.
The Minister of Social Development stated that this partnership reflects Bahrain’s broader goals. He noted the importance of integration among institutions to deliver faster and more effective help.

According to the ministry, this agreement aims to unify procedures and share responsibilities. It also ensures that each agency’s efforts reinforce the others.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women explained the memorandum aligns with the national strategy. It promotes equal support for women facing emergencies or hardship.
She also praised the cooperation among institutions and thanked all contributors for their dedication. The initiative, she said, would help consolidate services for Bahraini women in humanitarian situations.
The Ministry of Interior highlighted its role in providing safety and assistance. Programs such as “Fael Khair” and the Family and Child Protection Offices demonstrate the ministry’s active involvement.
Additionally, the ministry is working to standardize procedures for handling sensitive cases. This approach will support women across all governorates more effectively.
Officials emphasized the importance of public awareness. They stressed the need for community partnerships that bring together government bodies, NGOs, and private entities.
They also mentioned the importance of promoting social values and belonging. These elements, they said, are key to ensuring family stability and long-term societal security.
As challenges continue to evolve, the ministries remain committed. Together, they will strengthen the support system for Bahraini women in humanitarian situations.
