Saudi Arabia Strengthens Kenya Ties Through MWL Meeting

Kenya–Saudi Arabia relations strengthened recently when Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, met Kenya’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Ramadhan Ruwange. Their meeting at the MWL headquarters in Riyadh focused on deepening Kenya–Saudi Arabia relations through cooperation and dialogue.

During this important visit, both leaders exchanged views on matters that benefit their countries. They focused on religious cooperation, cultural exchange, and shared goals. Moreover, they discussed efforts that aim to promote peace, mutual understanding, and global dialogue. As a result, the meeting helped strengthen Kenya–Saudi Arabia relations, a key partnership in the region.

Dr. Al-Issa, who also leads the Organization of Muslim Scholars, welcomed the ambassador warmly. He emphasized the Muslim World League’s continued support for unity among Muslim-majority nations. At the same time, Ambassador Ruwange expressed Kenya’s appreciation for the MWL’s efforts in education, dialogue, and humanitarian support. This visit marked another step forward in building solid bridges between both nations.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Issa later held another important meeting on the same day. He met with Pedro Vargas David, Chairman of Euronews. They discussed the future of media in shaping global understanding. In particular, they explored how journalism can support positive change and promote honest communication across cultures.

Both leaders highlighted the strong position of Euronews as a multilingual broadcaster. They also talked about the important role media plays in peacebuilding, education, and correcting stereotypes. Moreover, they agreed that greater cooperation between media and global organizations can support shared missions of truth and harmony.

These two meetings reflect the growing importance of strong international partnerships. On one hand, the MWL continues to engage with diplomats and leaders from around the world. On the other hand, Kenya continues to grow its presence in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf region.

Additionally, both sides stressed the value of working together on common goals. They also agreed to explore future partnerships in culture, religion, and development. The focus on dialogue and cooperation makes Kenya–Saudi Arabia relations even more important in today’s world.

In conclusion, the meeting between Dr. Al-Issa and Ambassador Ruwange shows the commitment of both sides to open dialogue and collaboration.
