Islamic New Year Message Highlights Hope for Peace and Unity

The Islamic New Year message from UAE leaders offered a hopeful vision for peace and prosperity across the region and beyond. On Thursday, President Sheikh Mohamed shared his wishes as Muslims marked the beginning of the Hijri year.

Sheikh Mohamed posted a message on social media, offering congratulations to citizens and Muslims around the world. He expressed his desire for lasting peace, regional stability, and global progress in the Islamic New Year message.

The Hijri New Year began on Thursday following the sighting of the crescent Moon in Saudi Arabia. This event marked the start of Muharram, the first month in the Islamic calendar. Unlike Eid Al Fitr or Eid Al Adha, this occasion is observed with quiet reflection and does not include public celebrations or religious rituals.

In his Islamic New Year message, Sheikh Mohamed prayed for a better future for the region and the world. He also hoped for growth, prosperity, and progress for all people. The message reflected a spirit of optimism at a time of ongoing regional challenges.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, echoed those sentiments. He posted a similar message on social media, expressing hopes for peace, stability, and prosperity in the coming year. The UAE government also announced a public holiday for the occasion. Both public and private sector employees will observe the holiday on Friday.

This positive Islamic New Year message followed important diplomatic discussions held earlier in the week. On Wednesday, Sheikh Mohamed visited Doha and met with Sheikh Tamim, Emir of Qatar. The two leaders discussed regional developments, including efforts to build stronger bilateral ties.

Their conversation also covered recent events related to the Israel-Iran ceasefire. According to state media, both leaders agreed on the importance of diplomacy and open dialogue. They emphasized peaceful negotiation as the best path toward solving regional crises. As the new Hijri year begins, the Islamic New Year message from UAE leaders encourages reflection, peace, and meaningful cooperation across nations.
