Youth Skill Building Programs Empower Oman’s Next Generation

The Youth Center in Oman has unveiled a comprehensive set of youth skill building programs for Ramadan 2026. The initiative aims to equip young people with practical knowledge, creativity, and leadership skills. Through these programs, the center emphasizes developing Oman’s next generation into capable, confident, and innovative contributors to society.

Targeting youth aged 15 to 34, the programs are designed to reach at least 1,000 participants. They combine professional development, technology, cultural heritage, and social responsibility. Organizers highlighted that these programs encourage participants to explore personal growth while preparing them for future career challenges.

The training offerings include both in-person and virtual tracks. For instance, participants can attend sessions on vocal modes in the Adhan, learning proper pronunciation, musicality, and spiritual delivery. Another program, “Experience the Skill of Arabic Calligraphy,” introduces participants to traditional artistic techniques, blending creativity with cultural preservation.

Sports-focused initiatives also form a key component of the Ramadan package. Programs such as “Try the Skills of Sports Commentary” teach commentary fundamentals, including analysis, phrase construction, and engaging audience delivery. The “Six-a-Side Football” event promotes teamwork, physical fitness, and healthy competition.

Furthermore, the Youth Center provides technical skill workshops. The “3D Concrete Printing” program introduces architectural and structural design principles. A specialized course on artificial intelligence supports visually impaired youth, teaching navigation tools and accessibility technologies to enhance independence.

Digital literacy is another focus area. Participants can enroll in “Digital Advertising Campaign Management” to learn campaign creation, audience targeting, budgeting, and analytics across Meta platforms. Virtual programs, such as “Data Analysis Using Power BI” and the “Virtual Youth Academy” via LinkedIn, strengthen self-learning and professional development skills.

Complementing training, community engagement plays a major role. The “Ramadan Youth Gathering” combines group iftar sessions, award ceremonies, and youth markets. These events foster collaboration, celebration of achievements, and social networking among Oman’s youth.

By integrating education, culture, sports, and technology, the Youth Center’s youth skill building programs offer a holistic approach to development. These programs aim not only to empower participants but also to cultivate a generation ready to lead Oman toward a prosperous future.
