Additionally, if authorities extend the holiday, the public could benefit from a five-day weekend. Authorities adjusted previous holidays, moving the Islamic New Year and the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday to Fridays, ensuring a full three-day weekend.

The UAE has a total of at least 12 public holidays in 2025, each providing residents with opportunities to celebrate cultural, religious, and national events. The year begins with New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1. Eid Al-Fitr follows, from Sunday, March 30 to Tuesday, April 1, marking the end of Ramadan. Arafat Day falls on Thursday, June 5, with Eid Al-Adha from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8. Authorities will observe the Islamic New Year on Friday, June 27, and celebrate the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH) on Friday, September 5.

Authorities encourage residents and visitors to check updates regularly, as they may shift holiday dates for convenience and long weekends. This ensures individuals can plan trips, social activities, and family time effectively. Travel agencies and businesses are also adjusting schedules to match these possible changes.

National Day remains central to the country’s calendar, highlighting the nation’s progress, achievements, and community spirit. Observing these holidays allows people to reflect on the UAE’s history while enjoying valuable leisure time.
