The UAE honored Eid Al Etihad with messages that highlighted national unity. The celebration marked the country’s historic story shaped in 1971. It also encouraged citizens to protect progress through shared responsibility and national unity.
Senior defence leaders gathered in Abu Dhabi to reflect on the nation’s journey. They described the day as a strong reminder of earlier efforts and deep determination. Moreover, they said the anniversary builds belonging and strengthens loyalty across the country.
Defence Affairs Minister Mohammed Mubarak Fadel Al Mazrouei praised the founding generation. He said the day inspires people to remember those who worked hard for the country’s rise. He added that the event carries meaning because it represents gratitude, sacrifice, ambition, and steady progress.
Al Mazrouei noted that the UAE aims to continue expanding development efforts. Furthermore, he said national unity helps protect achievements and guide communities toward bigger national goals.
Chief of Staff Issa Saif Ablan Al Mazrouei shared similar thoughts during the event. He explained that the second of December stands as a turning point for the UAE. Additionally, he said the decision to unite created one of the strongest models in the region.
He pointed out that the UAE continues to advance through sustainable development and shared purpose. He added that the country moves forward because people believe in collective success.
Defence Undersecretary Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi also spoke during the celebration. He reflected on the fast progress witnessed since 1971. He noted that the UAE turned a historic vision into a growing and successful union.
Al Alawi highlighted gains in healthcare, security, education, and national readiness. Moreover, he said strong training efforts helped build a modern military structure that supports national priorities.
He concluded by saying progress grows when people work together with purpose. He also repeated that the UAE will continue advancing through shared responsibility and steady national unity.
