UAE Humanitarian Aid: Major Relief Operations Continue Across Gaza

UAE humanitarian aid continues to grow in scale and scope across Gaza under the ongoing “Operation Gallant Knight 3” initiative. Indeed, the United Arab Emirates remains among the world’s leading donors of medical, humanitarian, and development support.

In Gaza, the UAE has delivered thousands of tons of essential aid to address urgent needs. Through advanced planning and coordination, it has effectively mobilized efforts across multiple sectors to assist displaced residents and stabilize public services.

One of the UAE’s key achievements is the establishment of a 200-bed field hospital in Rafah. This facility has already treated tens of thousands of patients. It includes operating rooms for general, pediatric, and vascular surgery, along with intensive care units and specialized clinics.

Furthermore, the hospital provides diagnostic services such as CT scans and X-rays. A fully equipped pharmacy and modern lab ensure complete care aligned with international standards. Additionally, highly qualified doctors, specialists, and volunteers consistently support its 24-hour operations.

In addition, the UAE Floating Hospital in Arish, Egypt, has offered continuous care since its launch on February 24, 2024. It features 100 patient beds, operating theaters, intensive care units, and advanced diagnostic equipment. Moreover, Emirati and Indonesian teams jointly manage care for trauma and surgical patients.

As part of its broader effort, the UAE launched a prosthetic limb program for individuals injured in the conflict. This initiative delivers high-quality artificial limbs, rehabilitation services, and psychological support to help patients regain mobility and independence.

Moreover, to support Gaza’s overwhelmed health system, the UAE sent 17 fully equipped ambulances. These vehicles help manage emergency cases and improve patient transport amid equipment shortages caused by the ongoing crisis.

In parallel, UAE humanitarian aid also includes a vaccination drive to protect Palestinian children from polio. This campaign helps prevent disease outbreaks in one of the region’s most vulnerable populations.

On the water front, the UAE has launched a major pipeline project to deliver desalinated water from Egypt to southern Gaza. Specifically, this new pipeline will serve around 600,000 people. It provides 15 liters of water per person each day.

Furthermore, the UAE is restoring vital water wells in central Gaza in collaboration with multiple humanitarian organizations. These efforts include pump repairs, generator maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades to resume water flow to affected communities.

Additionally, UAE humanitarian aid has prioritized water security through additional pipeline projects, especially in the Mawasi areas. These initiatives directly address worsening living conditions and widespread infrastructure damage across the region.

In conclusion, the UAE’s comprehensive relief operations in Gaza clearly reflect its long-standing commitment to saving lives. Through coordinated action by land, sea, and air, the UAE continues to provide essential support to those in need.
