UAE Firm Expands Smart Road Projects in Kazakhstan

UAE-based Presight AI has signed an agreement with Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport to develop smart road technologies, marking another step in the company’s expansion in the Central Asian country.

The agreement was announced during the Foreign Investors’ Council meeting, where Presight Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pramotedham said the company plans to deepen its investment in Kazakhstan after operating there for the past three years.

Pramotedham said Presight is committed to supporting Kazakhstan’s ambitions to become a regional leader in artificial intelligence. He added that the company aims to build a stronger local team while contributing to the country’s digital transformation.

Beyond smart highways, Presight is also exploring opportunities to participate in Kazakhstan’s Data Center Valley project, which is designed to strengthen the country’s AI computing infrastructure. The company is assessing potential investments alongside global technology partners, including Microsoft.

Presight has already delivered similar AI-driven infrastructure projects in the Middle East and said it hopes to apply that experience to support Kazakhstan’s long-term technology and urban development goals.
