The transport conference gathered more than 300 executives, specialists, and experts from across the globe. Organizers selected the Port of Salalah as the official venue for this international gathering.

The opening ceremony took place under the patronage of Eng. Said Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. During the ceremony, leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening logistics networks and ensuring innovation in the transport sector.

Mohammed Oufait Al Maashani, CEO of Salalah Port Services Company, emphasized the conference’s role in boosting regional logistics. He explained that digital transformation, automation, and sustainability open new opportunities for advancing goods and services. According to him, these trends could make the Middle East a leader in transport innovation.

Additionally, Al Maashani noted that the event promotes exchanging visions, forming partnerships, and showcasing advanced technologies. He stressed that these efforts will support resilience, efficiency, and sustainability across transport systems. Such progress, he said, will contribute to economic growth and secure better prospects for future generations.

Throughout the event, participants will discuss more than 30 working papers and lectures.
