Timeless Royal Cars Take Center Stage in Oman’s New Exhibition

Oman welcomed a new cultural experience today as the Oman Across Ages Museum opened a special exhibition that celebrates timeless royal heritage. The event introduced visitors to rare cars that played important roles in the nation’s story. Because of this focus on timeless royal heritage, the exhibition attracted strong public interest from the first hours.

The exhibition opened in Manah in cooperation with the Royal Cars Museum. The event aimed to connect visitors with the long history behind these iconic vehicles. Officials explained that the collaboration offered a fresh way to showcase valuable pieces of national history.

Eng. Al Yaqdhan Abdullah Al Harthy, Director General of the Oman Across Ages Museum, said the collection includes classic, sports, and luxury royal cars. He noted that each vehicle carries deep symbolic meaning within Omani memory. Al Harthy also explained that the museum team selected the cars for their historical importance, rarity, and visual appeal.

He added that the museum wants visitors to enjoy an interactive learning experience. Therefore, the team designed the displays to highlight the stories surrounding each vehicle. He also expressed appreciation for the strong cooperation between the two museums, which enabled this distinctive showcase.

Meanwhile, Yasser Abdulaziz Al Farsi, Head of the Royal Cars Museum Department, shared more details about the exhibition’s purpose. He said the showcase introduces the public to several rare vehicles from the Royal Cars Museum. Some of these cars were custom-built to unique specifications. One standout piece is a Morgan model produced in 1957.

He further explained that the Royal Cars Museum aims to give the public wide access to these rare vehicles. Many people have never seen these cars up close, so the exhibition offers a rare opportunity. Visitors can now learn about their features, history, and craftsmanship through guided presentations.

The exhibition also highlights cars usually displayed at Al Barakah Palace. By presenting them in Manah, the organizers hope to expand cultural engagement. Moreover, this effort strengthens the presence of Oman’s royal automotive history in the national cultural scene.

The showcase will continue until December 9. The museum will open its doors daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. This extended schedule aims to accommodate the surge of visitors expected during the National Day holiday. Organizers believe the event will further highlight Oman’s timeless royal heritage, especially as more families explore cultural experiences during the celebration period.

Through this exhibition, Oman continues honoring its timeless royal heritage while creating new connections between the public and the nation’s historical treasures.
