In a significant display of national support for education, the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah patronized and attended the 2023-24 graduation ceremony of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET). The event took place on Wednesday at PAAET’s newly inaugurated auditorium in Shuwaikh, marking a milestone for both the institution and its graduates.

Upon arrival, the Amir was warmly received by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jallal, PAAET Director General Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, and several faculty members. Distinguished attendees included the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, and President of the Supreme Judicial Council Dr. Adel Bouresli, alongside proud families of the graduates.

Emphasizing National Talent and Human Resources

During his speech, Dr. Al-Jallal commended the Amir’s unwavering support, noting it as a reflection of Kuwait’s commitment to nurturing national talent and human resources. He emphasized the critical responsibility of the graduates in contributing to Kuwait’s progress through knowledge, skills, and dedication. He also highlighted PAAET’s strategic initiatives to improve academic standards and ensure that education is well-aligned with the evolving needs of the labor market.

Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, Director General of PAAET, echoed this sentiment by reaffirming the authority’s mission to empower students with skills for both employment and higher education. He emphasized PAAET’s commitment to strengthening governance, digitization, and research, aiming to prepare its 59,000 students for the competitive demands of the job market.

Graduates Celebrate Milestone Achievement

Graduates expressed their deep appreciation for the Amir’s presence, describing it as a powerful motivator. Several students, representing diverse majors such as English, Law, Science, and Special Education, shared their pride and commitment to contributing back to society.
