Spring Camps Committee Seeks Extension of Camping Season for Ramadan

The Spring Camps Committee in Kuwait is set to request an extension of the camping season beyond March 15, with the goal of covering the entire holy month of Ramadan. Faisal Al-Otaibi, head of the committee, announced that a meeting will take place next Thursday to discuss the matter, along with other key topics related to the camping season.

In an interview with Al-Rai newspaper, Al-Otaibi revealed that the committee will formally submit the request to both the Kuwait Municipality and the Environment Public Authority. The decision, however, depends on the approval of the relevant authorities. Al-Otaibi emphasized that the committee’s role is to submit the request and facilitate the process, but the final approval lies with the responsible agencies.

The extension, if approved, would allow campers to enjoy the facilities and activities throughout the holy month, making it a more flexible and enjoyable experience for those observing Ramadan.
