Southern Governorate Strengthens Community Bonds During Ramadan

The Southern Governorate is launching multiple initiatives to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan. These efforts aim to promote generosity, strengthen community ties, and preserve cultural traditions. Through these activities, the Governorate emphasizes the values of giving and unity.

To enhance digital communication, the Southern Governorate introduced an electronic guide for local councils. This guide, available on the official website, provides complete details about council owners in all areas. Residents can access it easily and stay informed about community events during Ramadan.

In addition, the Governorate launched the ‘Majalla Al Khair 8’ initiative to encourage community participation. This initiative focuses on brotherhood, cooperation, and national unity. Volunteers, employees, and private sector partners worked together to distribute over 1,000 Ramadan baskets filled with food and essential supplies. These efforts ensure that families across the Governorate receive much-needed support.

Community engagement remains a priority throughout Ramadan. The Governorate is organizing a series of meetings to bring residents together. These gatherings provide a platform for discussions and social connections. Additionally, the ‘Iftar Saem’ project invites volunteers to distribute meals in mosques and prayer halls. This initiative allows people to share the spirit of Ramadan through collective efforts.

Preserving traditions plays a vital role in these celebrations. To keep Bahraini customs alive, the Governorate will host a special Gargaoun Night. This heritage event will bring joy to children and families while promoting cultural pride. Through storytelling, music, and traditional attire, the event will highlight the significance of Bahraini traditions.

Strengthening community bonds during Ramadan remains a key goal for the Southern Governorate. These initiatives reflect the commitment to social harmony, generosity, and cultural preservation. By fostering unity, supporting families, and embracing traditions, the Governorate continues to enhance the spirit of Ramadan.
