Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF), attended the opening of Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) AutismTech Conference on Monday. The event is dedicated to advancing support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Running from April 14 to 16, the conference brings together key partners. These include the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Sidra Medicine, and Qatar University (QU). Additionally, the Mada Assistive Technology Center and prominent U.S.-based organizations such as Autism Speaks and the Autism Science Foundation are involved.
Demonstrating Qatar Foundation’s commitment to autism advocacy and research, Sheikha Moza and QF Vice Chairperson and CEO, HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, met with leading autism experts from the United States. The high-level discussions focused on strategic international cooperation. They aimed to boost awareness, increase investment in autism-related initiatives, and address the growing needs of adults on the spectrum.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of introducing comprehensive national legislation. This is to ensure inclusivity in education, healthcare, and broader community services for individuals with autism.
