Saudi authorities successfully intercepted two drug smuggling attempts at major international airports, seizing nearly 2 kg of hashish and over 11,000 illegal pills. The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) reported confiscating 1.9 kg of hashish at King Fahd International Airport and 11,096 prohibited pills at King Khalid International Airport.
In coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control, authorities arrested the intended recipient of the shipments. ZATCA reaffirmed its commitment to tightening customs controls to prevent smuggling and protect public safety.
The agency encouraged the public to report smuggling attempts through its hotline, email, or international contact number, assuring confidentiality and potential financial rewards for verified reports.
