Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reforms have significantly strengthened the education sector, leading to notable international recognition.
According to the Saudi Vision 2030 Annual Report for 2024, around 12 Saudi universities are now ranked among the top 1,000 universities globally in the Shanghai Ranking.
The report also highlighted that approximately 29 Saudi universities have secured places among the world’s leading universities. Additionally, 32 universities are listed in the Sustainable Development Index.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program has played a major role in enhancing educational outcomes.
Following its restructuring and the launch of the King Salman Strategy for Foreign Scholarships, the program has enabled more than 23,000 Saudi students to enroll in the world’s top 200 universities and institutes.
The graduation rate for scholarship recipients has reached about 92 percent.
Vision 2030’s education strategy focuses on developing curricula, improving quality, and investing in digital education.
It positions education as a cornerstone for sustainable development and long-term economic growth.
