Saudi Arabia Welcomes First Group of Indian Pilgrims for Hajj 2025 with Warm Hospitality

Saudi Arabia officially welcomed the first group of Hajj 2025 pilgrims at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Airport in Medina.
This begins the annual effort focused on welcoming Hajj pilgrims with care and hospitality.

A total of 262 Indian pilgrims from Hyderabad arrived aboard a Saudia Airlines flight on Tuesday.
They received flowers, commemorative gifts, and warm greetings from Saudi officials and volunteers.

Senior officials present included Dr. Abdulaziz Wazzan from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan.
Representatives from various service agencies coordinated the smooth reception process at the airport.

Thanks to strong cooperation, airport entry procedures were completed efficiently and without delays.
This arrival signals the start of a growing influx of pilgrims through Medina over the coming weeks.

Saudi Arabia has launched full-scale operational plans to manage services for millions of incoming pilgrims.
These include readiness in healthcare, logistics, guidance, and accommodation to ensure a safe and seamless pilgrimage.

The Kingdom’s efforts reflect its commitment to welcoming Hajj pilgrims with care and respect.
Authorities have also intensified inspections and coordination across key transport and hospitality sectors.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior announced new restrictions beginning Tuesday, April 29 (1 Dhul Qi’dah).
Only Hajj visa holders may enter Mecca, as part of seasonal pilgrimage security and order enforcement.

Officials warned that overstaying visas carries serious penalties, including fines, jail time, and deportation.
Those who exceed their entry permits could face fines up to SAR 50,000 and six months’ imprisonment.

Saudi Arabia emphasized that all pilgrims must respect the Kingdom’s rules to maintain order during the Hajj season.
This is part of a national effort toward welcoming Hajj pilgrims with care, efficiency, and religious respect.

As more groups arrive in the coming days, Saudi Arabia remains fully prepared for a safe and dignified Hajj experience.
