Saudi Arabia is actively promoting its Arabic language initiatives at the London Book Fair 2025, emphasizing the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding the global presence of the Arabic language.
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is leading the effort under the Saudi pavilion, which is managed by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. The academy’s secretary-general, Abdullah Al-Washmi, highlighted the book fair’s role as a vital cultural and academic hub that fosters global collaboration in language, literature, and publishing.
KSGAAL’s strategy focuses on broadening the reach of Arabic, producing specialized linguistic content, and strengthening the language’s role in international discourse. At the fair, the academy is showcasing its latest publications and initiatives in language planning, computational linguistics, education, and cultural programs.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s participation at the London Book Fair aims to bolster the international visibility of Saudi publishers, facilitate cross-cultural knowledge exchange, and build partnerships that enhance the Arabic language in global academic and cultural circles.
