Kuwait has received a strong pledge of support from Saudi Arabia in the field of road development. The focus is on sharing expertise and collaborating on maintenance projects. Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Kuwait’s Minister of Public Works, emphasized that the visit of a Saudi delegation from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics for Road Affairs reaffirms the longstanding ties between the two nations. It also opens new avenues for cooperation, mutual benefit, and the exchange of knowledge in road maintenance and infrastructure.
Engineer Bader Al-Dulami, Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics for Road Affairs, conveyed a message from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The message offered full support to Kuwait and highlighted the intention to share Saudi Arabia’s extensive experience in road maintenance and development. Al-Dulami praised Kuwait’s advancements in road maintenance over recent decades. He affirmed that both countries would work together to maximize the benefits of this collaboration.
The visit also provided a platform for knowledge exchange, especially in contracting processes and maintenance mechanisms. Discussions centered on Kuwait’s ongoing road development projects, particularly the comprehensive maintenance contracts currently in the implementation phase.
Undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works, Eid Al-Rashidi, welcomed the delegation and emphasized that such visits strengthen bilateral relations. They also provide opportunities to learn from Saudi Arabia’s best practices in the field. This collaboration is expected to play a vital role in enhancing road infrastructure in Kuwait.
