Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman hosted two key meetings in Riyadh on Monday, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties with both India and Egypt. These discussions aim to enhance cooperation in energy and other vital sectors.
Prince Abdulaziz first met with P.K. Mishra, the principal secretary to the Prime Minister of India, and B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog). The meeting focused on expanding collaboration between the two countries across critical areas. The leaders discussed how to boost coordination on energy, infrastructure, and other sectors of shared interest.
“The discussions were productive, highlighting the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties,” said Prince Abdulaziz, emphasizing India’s role in regional growth and the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
Later in the day, the Saudi minister met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Badr Abdel Aty. This meeting aimed at reinforcing collaboration in energy fields while exploring other opportunities to deepen their strategic partnership.
Both sides discussed ways to boost energy cooperation and reviewed new initiatives that could benefit both countries. “This partnership is essential for fostering mutual interests,” stated Prince Abdulaziz.
The talks are seen as a step forward in both strengthening bilateral ties and working towards long-term strategic goals. The energy sector remains central to these discussions, but both leaders agreed to explore further opportunities across other industries.
As the region faces evolving challenges, the strengthening of ties between Saudi Arabia, India, and Egypt plays a crucial role in fostering stability and cooperation across the Middle East and beyond.
