Saudi Arabia Approves Unified National Visa Platform

Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has approved the establishment of a unified national visa platform under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, creating a single official system for visa-related services in the Kingdom.

The decision was made during a Cabinet session chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah on Tuesday.

The Cabinet also approved agreements with Hungary, Kazakhstan, and Poland to allow mutual visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports.

During the meeting, ministers reviewed Saudi Arabia’s international efforts, including strengthening cooperation with global partners, supporting security and stability, and expanding opportunities for development.

The Cabinet highlighted the Kingdom’s growing achievements in technology and digital transformation, including its top ranking in the 2026 ICT Development Index issued by the International Telecommunication Union.

Officials also welcomed international recognition of Saudi initiatives in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital education, and cybersecurity, including a Saudi-led United Nations resolution focused on empowering women in cybersecurity.

On domestic matters, the Cabinet reviewed progress across key sectors, including the growth of the nonprofit sector, which recorded an increase in registered organizations and volunteer participation.

The meeting also approved steps to explore cooperation with Canada in nuclear and radiological regulation, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s continued expansion of strategic partnerships.
