Saudi Arabia Applauds US Move to Label Muslim Brotherhood as Global Terrorist Organization

Saudi Arabia welcomed the US decision to call the Muslim Brotherhood a global terrorist group, highlighting its focus on regional security and stability. The Kingdom said fighting extremism protects citizens and keeps peace across the Arab world. Officials added that working with other countries against terrorist groups strengthens safety and helps communities prosper.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the US action supports global efforts to fight dangerous networks. Targeting groups that use violence stops them from getting money and resources. Saudi Arabia supports this step and confirmed its commitment to keeping both the nation and the region safe.

The US administration named the groups in Egypt and Jordan as “specially designated global terrorists.” The Lebanese branch was listed as a “foreign terrorist organization.” These designations aim to block funds, stop operations, as well as prevent recruitment. Saudi officials praised the decision and stressed the need for a joint approach to fighting terrorism.

Saudi officials explained that extremist groups often rely on money and influence to spread fear. When countries act together, these groups lose power and reach. As a result, cooperation becomes essential for regional security and stability.

The Kingdom also said the US decision shows a strong effort against threats to regional stability. Stopping funding and naming dangerous groups reduces risks for civilians and builds trust among countries fighting terrorism. Saudi officials stressed that teamwork among nations is crucial for lasting security in the Middle East.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia said fighting terrorism is not only about military or legal action. Education, economic growth, as well as public awareness help prevent extremism from spreading. Officials urged countries to stay alert and take steps to handle both short-term threats and long-term dangers.

In conclusion, Saudi authorities concluded that the US designation of the Muslim Brotherhood strengthens global and regional efforts against violence. By supporting shared action, the Kingdom helps create a safer future for citizens, neighbors, and allies.
