Saudi Air Defenses Intercept Multiple Missiles and Drones, Preventing Major Damage

Saudi air defenses successfully intercepted multiple ballistic missiles and drones targeting Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the country’s commitment to civilian safety. Early Monday, forces destroyed three ballistic missiles heading toward Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj. Meanwhile, Saudi forces intercepted four drones that entered the airspace before they could cause damage. These actions highlight how Saudi air defenses protect key infrastructure and urban areas effectively.

In northern Riyadh, soldiers shot down two drones, while one drone near Shaybah oil field and another in Al-Jouf fell safely. Authorities confirmed that these operations prevented casualties and safeguarded essential facilities. Moreover, Saudi air defenses maintain high alert as regional tensions continue, ensuring rapid response to any airborne threat.

Unfortunately, a projectile struck a residential area in Al-Kharj, killing two people and injuring twelve others. Officials stated that the deceased were Indian and Bangladeshi nationals, while the injured were Bangladeshi residents employed by a local maintenance company. Emergency teams immediately assisted the victims and secured the area.

Additionally, video footage released by the Ministry of Defense showed drones being intercepted and destroyed, illustrating the precision and readiness of Saudi air defenses. Authorities emphasized that constant vigilance and coordination between military units and emergency responders keep the public safe.

The attacks followed a recurring pattern, with Iran reportedly launching waves of missiles and drones starting at midnight and continuing throughout the day. In response, Saudi air defenses neutralized multiple threats over the past week. Most missiles targeted Prince Sultan Air Base, while several drones aimed at Shaybah oil field.

Officials also urged residents to stay cautious and follow instructions from verified sources. They stressed that public cooperation reduces risks and helps emergency teams operate efficiently. Furthermore, Saudi air defenses continue monitoring airspace actively and remain ready to respond to any potential threat.

In conclusion, the ongoing vigilance of Saudi air defenses demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s dedication to protecting its people, critical infrastructure, and national stability. Coordinated efforts between military units and first responders ensure swift threat neutralization and public safety.
