Templewater’s latest investment emphasizes Oman’s smart mobility future as the company joins Neolix’s Series D financing round. This step will help bring autonomous van to Oman and the wider region. Additionally, it supports the place’s plans for cleaner, more efficient logistics and transport systems.
Templewater, based in Hong Kong, actively supports Oman’s green energy and industrial goals. Last month, the company partnered with Future Fund Oman to launch an Energy Transition Fund with $200 million. The fund focuses on clean energy, energy storage, e-fuels, smart mobility, renewables, and green data centers. These initiatives further strengthen Oman’s smart mobility future.
In the Series D round, Templewater and other investors raised over $600 million for Neolix, marking China’s largest private fundraising in autonomous driving. Neolix, headquartered in Beijing, is the world leader in Level 4 autonomous intra-city logistics. Its robovans operate without human drivers, navigating city roads safely while delivering goods.
To date, Neolix has deployed more than 10,000 Level 4 robovans across 300 Chinese cities. The company will use the funds to improve technology, create new products, expand its service network, and grow internationally. It is also expanding into express delivery, cold chain logistics, and instant delivery services.
In the Gulf region, Neolix has already received the UAE’s first robovan license through a partnership with an Abu Dhabi tech company. Templewater said that Oman could see similar deployment at logistics hubs such as SOHAR Port, Khazaen, and Duqm Special Economic Zone. These electric, self-driving vehicles can safely transport goods between warehouses, factories, and container yards without human drivers.
Furthermore, integrating robovans with IoT fleet management systems and smart mobility platforms will improve efficiency and reduce emissions. Experts note that this technology can accelerate Oman’s smart mobility future by modernizing transport and logistics.
Templewater also stressed its commitment to supporting Neolix’s global expansion. By leveraging networks across Asia-Pacific and the GCC, the company helps commercialize automated logistics solutions. Ultimately, this investment positions Oman as a regional leader in sustainable, autonomous transport. Through innovation, automation, and digital solutions, Oman moves closer to a smarter and greener transport system.
