Ramadan and Nowruz Reflect Shared Values of Peace and Tolerance, Says Tajik Ambassador

His Excellency Dr. Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Kuwait and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, highlighted the importance of shared values during a special Ramadan gathering. Addressing distinguished diplomats, he emphasized the deep-rooted cultural and human connections between Kuwait and Tajikistan, especially as the two countries celebrate their 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

Dr. Zubaydzoda underscored the significance of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, as more than a cultural tradition—it embodies unity and tolerance among various peoples. He pointed out that the celebration, which is observed in countries like Tajikistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Turkey, reflects a common legacy of peace and hope. The United Nations recognizes Nowruz as a holiday of renewal, emphasizing the shared values of diversity and reconciliation.

The ambassador also expressed appreciation for the Kuwaiti traditions of solidarity and hospitality, which were evident during his visits to Kuwaiti diwaniyas. These warm gestures, he said, reflect Kuwait’s strong values of brotherhood and human connection.

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Dr. Zubaydzoda extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti government, and the people of Kuwait. He wished Kuwait continued security, prosperity, and peace.

Highlighting the intersection of Ramadan and Nowruz this year, the ambassador emphasized the importance of cooperation in regional and global peace efforts. He reaffirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Kuwait, working together to enhance stability, prosperity, and mutual understanding.
