Rafad Pushes Forward With Major Murkan Quarter Deal at Cityscape Global 2025

Rafad moved closer to shaping future development in Al Khobar after signing a major agreement with Mohammed Salahuddin Engineering Consultants during Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh. Both sides highlighted strong confidence in the project because the Murkan Quarter stands among the most anticipated mixed-use developments in the Eastern Province. They also stressed that this partnership plays a central role in shaping future development as the region continues rapid growth.

Rafad and Mohammed Salahuddin Engineering Consultants reached the agreement on November 18. Their collaboration covers the entire design vision for the Murkan Quarter. The consulting team oversees architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical work. They also coordinate these disciplines to ensure smooth progress and a high-quality final product.

The Murkan Quarter forms part of Al Qahtani Group’s broader strategy through the Rafad Place concept. The project introduces a new generation of mixed-use developments in Saudi Arabia. It blends luxury hospitality, premium office spaces, modern dining, and curated retail options. The development rises across 12 floors and spans 58,000 square meters, offering a striking contemporary design.

The hospitality component centers on the Conrad Hilton Hotel. The hotel includes 161 units such as luxury rooms, one-bedroom apartments, and a premier presidential suite. Moreover, the hotel features a health club, a full fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, and a signature restaurant connected to the main lobby. These offerings aim to elevate the hospitality experience in Al Khobar.

The office tower provides 10,500 square meters of leasable space. Rafad designed these floors to support flexible co-working areas and high-end business needs. The upper floors host the headquarters of the Al Qahtani Group. Additionally, the complex includes a parking building with space for 550 vehicles, ensuring easy access for visitors, tenants, and hotel guests.

Architect Thamer Salahuddin, General Manager of MSCEB, highlighted the project’s significance and praised the integrated design approach. He noted that the Murkan Quarter reflects the company’s commitment to precision, beauty, and efficiency. He also expressed pride in supporting large-scale national projects.

Abdulhadi Al-Qahtani, General Manager of Rafad, emphasized strong confidence in MSCEB. He noted that the agreement strengthens the project’s vision and aligns with the Kingdom’s wider development goals.

While progress continues, Rafad positions the Murkan Quarter as a standout destination in Al Khobar. The project blends luxury, functionality, and innovation. Ultimately, Rafad aims to keep shaping future development as the Eastern Province enters a new era of growth.
