Doha, Qatar – The Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG), a member of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), has successfully wrapped up its Third International Forum. The theme of the forum was “The Role of Plant Conservation in Promoting Biodiversity and Environmental Preservation.”
Held in celebration of Qatar Environment Day, the Forum aimed to raise awareness and emphasize the importance of environmental conservation. It also highlighted the crucial role of conservation institutions in protecting plant resources. This ensures a sustainable future for generations to come.
The event welcomed high-profile attendees, including Minister of Environment and Climate Change H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie and Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Ali. She is the Founder of the Royal Botanic Garden of Jordan. The Forum gathered representatives from 22 organizations.
