Quran Memorization Competition 2025 Showcases Excellence at Al Faleh Educational Holding

The Quran Memorization Competition 2025 marked its 20th anniversary with a remarkable celebration of student achievement in Qatar. Al Faleh Educational Holding, under the leadership of Sheikha Anwar bint Nawaf Al Thani, hosted this prestigious event with great dedication and community support.

This year’s competition began on April 13 and concluded on May 15 with a grand ceremony at Doha Academy in Al Waab. Organizers had started preparations as early as February, reaching out to schools across the country with details about rules, categories, and awards. Because of the Quran competition’s well-established reputation in 2025, participation increased significantly.

In total, 214 schools joined the competition. These included independent, international, and community schools, as well as kindergartens and every branch of Doha Academy. Moreover, 555 students competed in Quran memorization, reflecting the growing popularity and reach of the event.

Organizers divided the competition into two main categories. The first category featured students from Doha Academy, from kindergarten to secondary levels. Meanwhile, the second category included students from all other schools in Qatar. This Quran memorization competition, held in 2025, ensured a consistent and fair evaluation process by conducting all tests at Doha Academy.

Renowned scholars contributed to the judging process. For instance, Sheikh Abdul Salam Qandeel, an imam from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, joined as a lead judge. With credentials from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and experience in global contests, he brought credibility to the event. Furthermore, Sheikh Yousri Elsaka, the Sharia sciences coordinator at Doha Academy, led the competition’s overall supervision.

On May 15, students, parents, and school representatives gathered for the final award ceremony. Sheikha Anwar’s representative, the judges, and Principal Edward Cooper distributed the prizes. The Quran competition in 2025 showcased the exceptional performance of students as Cooper emphasized their achievements and thanked Sheikha Anwar for her unwavering support.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed various program segments, including recognitions for precision in memorization. Families and school staff praised the event’s smooth organization and warm atmosphere.

Clearly, the Quran Memorization Competition 2025 has become more than just a contest. It celebrates dedication, community values, and academic excellence. As this tradition continues, more students will find motivation to connect deeply with the Holy Quran.
