Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability, QNB organized a creative event for children in celebration of Earth Day. Earth Day is observed annually on April 22 to raise awareness about environmental issues.
The event featured a series of art workshops. These were designed to inspire young minds and instill the values of environmental protection through creativity and hands-on learning. Children aged 7 to 10 participated in various activities that blended fun with eco-conscious messaging.
Among the highlights, participants crafted 3D Earth cards featuring simple environmental tips for kids. They also painted a large canvas using their hands dipped in blue and green paint. This symbolized the importance of planting trees and protecting oceans from pollution—a visual reminder of the shared responsibility to care for the planet.
In a gardening workshop, the children planted seedlings and decorated eco-friendly pots in their own artistic style. They took their creations home as a keepsake and a reminder of their role in protecting nature.
Commenting on the event, Heba Al Tamimi, Senior Executive Vice President of QNB Group Communications, said: “We are very pleased to organize this initiative to help children develop an appreciation for nature while exploring their creative abilities through art. Their artworks express a thoughtful vision of the planet and reflect the importance of environmental stewardship.”
“This initiative also aligns with our broader efforts to reduce carbon emissions and promote greener choices among our customers. It contributes to global sustainability goals,” she added.
