Qetaifan Projects Showcases Island Development at MIPIM 2025

Qetaifan Projects, a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality, took part in MIPIM 2025, the prestigious global urban festival in Cannes, France. The event provided a platform for the company to present its flagship development, Qetaifan North Island, alongside its key partners. These partners include Dar Global, the developer behind Les Vagues by Elie Saab, and JMJ, responsible for The Grove by Zaha Hadid.

The Qatari Pavilion at MIPIM hosted a dynamic presentation of the island’s development, drawing attention to the growth of Qatar’s real estate market. The pavilion also featured the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Aqarat) and Invest Qatar, highlighting the nation’s focus on attracting global investment. The Qetaifan North Island project was the centerpiece of the pavilion and captured the interest of many international developers.

Notably, the development features sophisticated infrastructure that blends modernity and innovation. International visitors expressed their admiration for the island’s unique design and potential investment opportunities. This reaction signals the project’s ambition to be a global hub for entertainment and tourism.

Khalid Al Jassim, Senior Business Development Officer at Qetaifan Projects, shared his thoughts on the exhibition. “Our participation in MIPIM 2025 highlights our commitment to making Qetaifan Island North a global destination,” he said. “We aim to provide innovative living solutions that combine luxury, entertainment, and advanced infrastructure.”

Al Jassim also emphasized that Qatar’s growing confidence in the project is clear. “We want to offer the world a distinctive model for living and entertainment in Qatar,” he added. “By participating with Aqarat and Invest Qatar, we show our commitment to advancing both real estate and tourism sectors.”

One of the island’s most notable features, Meryal Waterpark, stood out at the event. Spanning 281,000 square meters, the waterpark includes 36 exciting water rides. Among them is The Rig 1938, a symbol of architectural creativity. The park’s prominence at MIPIM reinforces Qetaifan Island North’s position as a top-tier global destination.

The project’s growing international appeal underscores the strategic importance of Qetaifan Island North in Qatar’s future development plans.
