Qatar University Board of Trustees Meeting Led by Deputy Amir

Qatar University Board meeting was held on Monday under the leadership of His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the Deputy Amir presided over the third board meeting for the 2024–2025 academic year at the Amiri Diwan.

To begin the session, the Board of Trustees reviewed outcomes from its second meeting earlier in the academic year. These included several key decisions and recommendations, many of which had already been implemented successfully. The board then moved on to new agenda topics.

Importantly, the board approved the university’s academic planning for the upcoming period. This decision plays a vital role in shaping the institution’s future programs, teaching methods, and research priorities. As Qatar continues its journey toward a knowledge-based economy, Qatar University remains at the heart of that transformation.

Throughout the meeting, board members emphasized the importance of aligning academic strategies with national development goals. They also discussed ways to strengthen QU’s global partnerships, enhance research output, and support student success.

The Qatar University Board meeting reflects the leadership’s ongoing commitment to education. It also showcases Qatar’s efforts to maintain high academic standards and support innovation. These regular meetings ensure that Qatar University remains a leading academic institution in the region.
