Qatar to Establish National AI Hub Through Ooredoo and Qatar Airways Partnership

Qatar has taken a major step toward digital transformation through a new partnership between Ooredoo and Qatar Airways. The two national champions signed an agreement to create a national AI hub, designed to drive innovation and strengthen AI partnership in Qatar.

The deal builds on a 15-year collaboration between the organizations. Moreover, both sides confirmed that the hub will feature advanced infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity systems. This initiative also supports Qatar’s long-term vision of economic diversification and technological leadership.

A significant focus of the agreement involves human capital development. Therefore, Ooredoo and Qatar Airways will launch programs that train and upskill young professionals in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Leaders emphasized that these programs will build expertise, support sustainable growth, and reinforce Qatar’s role in digital leadership.

In July, Ooredoo expanded its investments by operationalizing the NVIDIA GPU platform. Consequently, this move introduced powerful computing capabilities to businesses, government bodies, and developers. The platform is expected to accelerate innovation and provide advanced tools to support the new hub.

Ooredoo’s CEO explained that unleashing the power of AI helps unlock human potential and redefine what is possible. In addition, he stressed that this alliance merges strengths to position the nation as a global leader in digital transformation. Similarly, Qatar Airways’ CEO noted that adopting AI technologies strengthens aviation operations while contributing to the wider economy.

By combining Ooredoo’s AI infrastructure with Qatar Airways’ operational expertise, the hub will deliver connected solutions in aviation and telecommunications. Furthermore, industry observers believe the collaboration sets new benchmarks in innovation across multiple sectors.

The agreement also highlights Qatar’s intention to position itself as a technology-driven economy. Officials explained that the AI partnership in Qatar strengthens the country’s influence as a regional digital leader. Moreover, the move reflects national priorities that focus on building knowledge, technology, and human development.

Ultimately, this strategic step ensures Qatar continues to lead innovation in the region. The AI partnership in Qatar shows how collaboration can unlock opportunities, create value, and inspire long-term progress.
