Qatar Stands Firm on Syria’s Sovereignty and Regional Peace Efforts

Qatar’s unwavering stance once again appeared clear as the country renewed its strong support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The nation stressed that real peace depends on respecting borders, building trust, and helping people live in safety. This position highlighted Qatar’s ongoing commitment to promoting stability and fairness across the Middle East.

During her speech at the UN Security Council, Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani explained that Qatar firmly condemns Israel’s attacks on Syria. She said these attacks violate international law and threaten peace in the region. Moreover, she noted that every country deserves respect for its independence and security.

In addition, Al Thani pointed out that Qatar’s unwavering stance reflects its belief in diplomacy and dialogue over conflict. She emphasized that protecting Syria’s unity and supporting its people’s right to live peacefully remain key goals for Qatar. Furthermore, she encouraged international actors to work together to stop violence and build cooperation.

Turning to the Palestinian issue, Al Thani explained that the Gaza ceasefire depends on a shared effort from all sides. She said that peace must not only stop the fighting but also bring hope for a better future. Therefore, she urged all parties to act responsibly and follow international law.

She also welcomed the UN General Assembly’s approval of the New York Declaration. This declaration supports the two-state solution and calls for an independent Palestinian state. According to her, this global step proves that the world supports justice and equality for the Palestinian people.

However, Al Thani strongly criticized the Israeli Knesset’s decision to approve a bill that would annex the West Bank. She described this move as a serious challenge to international law and global resolutions. Additionally, she reminded world leaders that such actions harm peace efforts and worsen regional tensions.

She urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take stronger action. She called for practical measures to stop settlement expansion and to protect human rights in the occupied territories. Through all these statements, Qatar’s unwavering stance became even more visible.

Ultimately, Qatar continues to stand for peace, justice, and cooperation. With Qatar’s unwavering stance guiding its diplomacy, the country remains a trusted voice for unity and stability across the region.
