Qatar National Sprint: Chebli and Serre Excel in Second Round

DOHA: The second round of the 2025 Qatar National Sprint, organized by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, witnessed intense competition. Drivers from across the region showcased their skills. In Class O1, Lebanese driver Mansour Chebli secured the top spot with a 47.633-second lap in his Renault Clio. He narrowly edged out his fellow Lebanese competitor, Charbel Chebli. Qatar’s Fakhreddine Bejaoui claimed third place.

In Class O2, Jad Alawar dominated in his Mitsubishi Evo 8. Amro Abdulla finished second in a Subaru STR. The O3 class saw an exciting race. Maher Serre took first place with a time of 52.663 seconds in his Nissan 350Z. Mubarak Shabib and Faisal Al Yafei followed in second and third, respectively.

The production classes also delivered fierce competition. In P1, Mansour Chebli achieved his second victory of the day. He narrowly defeated Charbel Chebli and Nadim Ziade. Serre added another win to his tally in P2, driving a Porsche Cayman GTS. In P3, Francesco Fornaciari claimed the top spot in his Lotus Exige. Hassan and Abdulla Al Abbasi finished second and third.

Qatar’s women racers were also in the spotlight. Nasmee’a Christian led the way in her Subaru BRZ with a best lap of 59.900 seconds. Meriem Addad followed closely in her Golf R. This rounded off an action-packed day of racing.

The Qatar National Sprint season will now take a break before resuming on September 5.
