Qatar Expands Instant Credit Card Access with New Digital Features

Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) continues to lead digital banking in Qatar with exciting updates to its mobile apps. These changes improve customer control, speed, and flexibility across services especially with Instant Credit Card access now easier than ever.

To start, QIB broadened immediate credit card availability to include all qualified users. In the past, the service required customers to transfer their salary to the bank. Now, even those without a salary transfer can apply directly through the QIB Mobile App. By securing the card with a temporary hold on their account or deposit, customers gain fast access to credit without any waiting.

This upgrade simplifies banking for more people. With Instant Credit Card access, users avoid paperwork and long approval times. QIB made this process seamless and mobile-first, which reflects its customer-focused strategy.

Additionally, QIB improved its international transfer services. The bank added Pakistan to its growing Instant Cash Pickup network. Through direct integration with Habib Bank Limited (HBL), customers can send money using both QIB apps. Their families in Pakistan can then collect the funds instantly at any HBL branch.

Alongside existing corridors in Jordan, Egypt, and the Philippines, this new route strengthens QIB’s remittance options. While this service doesn’t directly involve Instant Credit Card access, it shows how QIB is expanding fast, responsive solutions across products.

Next, QIB launched a Salary Advance feature for low-income workers on the Wage Protection System (WPS). These customers can borrow up to 80% of their net salary through the app. The bank charges a flat 1% profit and expects repayment the following month. This fast cash access works well for workers who might also benefit from future Instant Credit Card access tools.

Moreover, QIB added all these services to the QIB Mobile and QIB Lite apps. Customers enjoy smoother navigation, quick processes, and more control. Whether they’re applying for credit, sending money, or requesting an advance, the experience stays fast and simple.

D Anand, General Manager of Personal Banking, shared that QIB shaped these changes through real customer feedback. That insight led to solutions like broader Instant Credit Card access, which give users more freedom in managing their finances.

Going forward, QIB aims to roll out even more digital tools. At the heart of these plans lies Instant Credit Card access, which continues to drive customer growth and satisfaction.

By building its services around Instant Credit Card access, QIB proves its long-term goal: to serve more people with smarter, faster, and more flexible banking options.
