Qatar Economic Forum 2025 Kicks Off in Doha to Spotlight Gulf’s Role in Global Economy

The fifth edition of the Qatar Economic Forum 2025 (QEF), powered by Bloomberg, officially kicks off today in Doha. Organized in partnership with Media City Qatar, the forum runs from May 20 to 22. It brings together top global leaders, CEOs, and policymakers to address the economic challenges and opportunities shaping the future.

Held under the theme “The Road to 2030: Transforming the Global Economy”, QEF 2025 focuses on the rapid transformation in global capital flows. This year’s forum highlights the Gulf region’s rise as a financial powerhouse. Thanks to ongoing reforms and economic diversification, the Gulf is no longer just an energy supplier. It is now a leading hub for financial investment and innovation.

Qatar Economic Forum 2025 aims to provide insights into how Gulf sovereign wealth funds are reshaping global finance. Their growing influence is driving investment strategies and fueling economic growth across multiple sectors. In addition, the forum will examine the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the region. Reforms across Gulf countries have significantly improved the business climate, attracting multinational companies and large capital inflows.

Throughout the three-day event, speakers will tackle pressing global topics. These include sustainable growth, digital transformation, energy transition, and geopolitical trends. Sessions will also explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence and financial technology in the post-pandemic economy.

Qatar Economic Forum 2025 also offers a vital networking platform for investors and decision-makers. With over 3,000 participants expected, the event reinforces Qatar’s position as a key player in shaping the global economic narrative. Notably, more than 70 nationalities will be represented, and over 120 speakers will share their perspectives during the forum.

The launch of new digital tools, including a dedicated mobile app and live podcast features, marks a first for the event. These additions will enhance audience engagement and global reach.

In summary, Qatar Economic Forum 2025 sets the stage for important conversations about the future of the global economy. By focusing on the Gulf’s growing influence, the event emphasizes Qatar’s strategic vision and commitment to international cooperation.
