Qatar has delivered the third and final fuel shipment for 2025 to the Lebanese Army. This reinforces its continued support for Lebanon’s stability and security. This initiative, carried out by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), marks a significant step. It is part of Qatar’s broader efforts to assist Lebanon during its ongoing crisis.
According to a statement from QFFD on Sunday, the shipment included 6,200 tonnes of fuel. It arrived at the port of Tripoli. The fuel is intended to enhance the operational capacity of the Lebanese Army, which continues to face mounting challenges amid the country’s deteriorating economic conditions.
Moreover, this delivery underscores Qatar’s unwavering commitment to aiding the Lebanese people. By strengthening the army’s readiness, Qatar aims to contribute meaningfully to national security and internal stability across Lebanon.
QFFD emphasized that this shipment is not just about logistics—it is a symbol of solidarity. As part of Qatar’s humanitarian outreach, the fuel assistance showcases the depth of the bilateral relationship. It also highlights Qatar’s role as a reliable partner in times of need.
In recent years, Qatar has maintained consistent support for Lebanon through economic aid, fuel supplies, and diplomatic backing. With this final shipment, Qatar reaffirms its promise to stand beside Lebanon, particularly during periods of hardship and uncertainty.
This initiative also reflects Qatar’s regional approach to promoting peace and stability through developmental assistance and international cooperation. By investing in Lebanon’s key institutions, such as the military, Qatar helps pave the way for long-term resilience and recovery.
The Qatari government, through QFFD, reiterated that it will continue exploring avenues to extend further assistance to Lebanon. This is in line with its principles of sustainable development, partnership, and regional solidarity.
