Qatar Braces for Hot Weekend as Temperatures Approach 40°C

The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast a spike in temperatures this weekend. The mercury is expected to climb between 37°C and 40°C during daytime hours.

The weather report, issued on April 24, indicated that conditions will be relatively hot across the country. Minimum temperatures will hover around 27°C in the coming days.

Wind patterns are also expected to shift. On Thursday and Friday, winds will blow from the northwest to northeast at speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots. By Saturday, they are expected to change direction, coming from the southeast to northeast at similar speeds.

At sea, wave heights will remain between 1 to 3 feet for most of the weekend. However, they could rise to 6 feet on Thursday.

While no weather warnings have been issued, the department advised residents to follow its official social media channels. This is to get the latest updates and safety information.
