Prince Khalid bin Bandar, Saudi Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Advisor to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has been awarded the prestigious title of “Diplomat of the Year 2025” for the Middle East and North Africa region by Diplomat Magazine.
The award was presented during an annual ceremony held at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London, which was attended by ambassadors and high commissioners from over 90 countries.
Chosen through a voting process involving diplomats from more than 180 diplomatic missions in the United Kingdom, the award recognizes ambassadors who have made outstanding contributions to diplomatic work in the UK.
Diplomat Magazine, one of the UK’s leading diplomatic publications, organizes this annual initiative to celebrate excellence in diplomacy and foster stronger ties within the international diplomatic community.
Prince Khalid has served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the UK since 2019, when he presented his credentials to Queen Elizabeth II. At the time, he highlighted the strong historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Britain and expressed his commitment to further advancing bilateral relations across various sectors.
Prior to his posting in London, Prince Khalid also served as Saudi Ambassador to Germany in 2017, underscoring his extensive diplomatic experience on the international stage.
