The PHCC Occupational Health Program 2025 officially launched this week, marking a major step in employee health. The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) introduced the new initiative at the Staff Clinic in its headquarters, Tower 2.
The program focuses on early detection of work-related illnesses. Through periodic medical screenings, staff from all departments can identify risks early. Assessments will occur every three years to help maintain employee well-being and job readiness.
Dr. Mariam Ali Abdul Malik, PHCC’s Managing Director, led the launch ceremony. She emphasized that the program aligns with both Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Health Strategy. “We are proud to support our staff’s health across all departments,” she said. “This initiative reflects our deep commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment.”
Additionally, she encouraged full participation. “This is not just about personal health,” she noted. “It’s also a shared responsibility to support a healthier, more resilient workforce for Qatar’s future.”
Several senior officials joined the event. Among them were Mr. Musallam Mubarak Al Nabit, Assistant Managing Director, and Dr. Samya Ahmad Al Abdulla, Executive Director of Operations. Leaders from the Occupational Health and Safety team also attended.
Dr. Maryam Abdulla Al Muslemani, Director of Occupational Health and Safety, praised the milestone. “This program reflects our dedication to employee safety and wellness,” she said. “It aligns with national strategies and emphasizes preventive care.”
Moreover, she highlighted the creation of a job risk analysis model. It is specifically designed to address the unique challenges healthcare workers face daily. This proactive approach aims to provide timely support for any emerging health concerns.
She also acknowledged the leadership that made the program possible. “Without Dr. Mariam Abdul Malik’s vision and Mr. Al Nabit’s support, this launch wouldn’t have happened,” she added.
In conclusion, the PHCC Occupational Health Program 2025 will help identify early signs of occupational risks. It encourages staff involvement and ensures workplace safety remains a top priority.
