Partial Road Closure on Sultan Qaboos Street for Maintenance Work

Muscat Municipality, alongside the Royal Oman Police (ROP), has announced a partial road closure on Sultan Qaboos Street. This closure will take place between the Al-Zafrah Roundabout and the Khoudh Bridge, effective from 10:00 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2022. It will remain in place until 5:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022.

The partial road closure on Sultan Qaboos Street is part of ongoing maintenance work in Muscat Governorate. Authorities are working to address and repair damaged sections of the road. The aim of this maintenance is to enhance road safety and improve traffic flow.

Motorists should expect delays during this period. The affected area will be clearly marked, and traffic control measures will be in place. Drivers are strongly advised to follow all on-site instructions during the partial road closure on Sultan Qaboos Street. This will help ensure the safety of both drivers and road workers.

In addition, motorists should plan their routes in advance to avoid congestion and potential delays. Local authorities have recommended alternative routes to help minimize traffic impact.

This roadwork is part of the government’s broader efforts to maintain and improve Muscat’s infrastructure. By upgrading damaged roads during this partial road closure on Sultan Qaboos Street, they hope to provide smoother travel and better conditions for residents and visitors alike.

As always, safety remains the top priority. Drivers should exercise extra caution when traveling through construction zones. Muscat Municipality and ROP are committed to completing the repairs promptly to minimize any disruptions to the community.

With the maintenance scheduled to wrap up early Friday morning, normal traffic conditions will return once the work is complete.
