The first edition of the ‘Sinaw is Our Destination’ festival in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate concluded with an impressive turnout, welcoming more than 150,000 visitors over seven days from February 2 to 8. The event, organized by the governorate, attracted widespread attention from local and international tourists.

The festival featured a diverse lineup of cultural, entertainment, and heritage activities, offering visitors a glimpse into Oman’s rich traditions. Additionally, a scientific symposium on livestock and agricultural exhibitions provided insights into the region’s farming heritage.

A dedicated space for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and productive families allowed local businesses to showcase their products and services. The event also included a vibrant food court featuring traditional Omani cuisine and live music performances.

Officials noted that the festival was part of a broader series of winter events in North Al Sharqiyah, which collectively drew over 450,000 visitors. These initiatives have significantly contributed to promoting domestic tourism, boosting local businesses, and creating seasonal job opportunities.
