The State Council welcomed a delegation from the France-GCC Parliamentary Friendship Group on Thursday. This was part of efforts to strengthen parliamentary and diplomatic ties between Oman and France.
The delegation, led by Olivier Cadec, Head of the France-GCC Parliamentary Friendship Group in the French Senate, was received by Salim Musallam Qutn. Salim Musallam Qutn is the Deputy Chairman of the State Council.
During the visit, the French delegates were given an overview of the State Council’s role within Oman’s legislative and regulatory framework. Discussions also focused on the Council’s core responsibilities. They also looked at its contribution to national development.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the State Council and several Council members. This reflected Oman’s commitment to fostering international parliamentary cooperation.
