Oman-UK Partnership Strengthened in London Talks

Oman UK partnership took center stage during a high-level meeting held in London on Wednesday. The Omani ruler met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss ways to expand bilateral ties.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of deepening the Oman UK partnership across economic, investment, and trade sectors. They highlighted the need to build stronger foundations that reflect shared goals and national aspirations.

The talks covered a wide range of cooperation areas, aiming to drive progress and prosperity for both countries. Discussions also included strategic alignment in key sectors of mutual interest.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing collaborations and stressed the value of maintaining momentum in joint initiatives. They agreed to explore new areas for strategic cooperation in line with evolving global trends.

Regional and global developments were also part of the dialogue. The Omani leader welcomed the UK’s intention to recognize a Palestinian state. This recognition aligns with Oman’s consistent support for peace in the Middle East.

Accompanying the Omani delegation were Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, and Badr bin Mohammed Al Manthri, Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

From the British side, attendees included Jonathan Powell, UK National Security Advisor, and Dr. Liane Saunders, UK Ambassador to Oman.

In conclusion, the meeting served as a reaffirmation of the strong Oman UK partnership. It opened new channels for coordination and highlighted both nations’ roles in shaping a peaceful and interconnected future.
