Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, hosted Maj. Gen Mohammed Abdulrahman Al Ruwais, Commander of the Peninsula Shield Force, and his delegation at Al Murtafa’a Camp. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on military strategies, regional security, and joint operations. The session also included discussions on coordinated defense plans and emerging security challenges. Several senior officers attended, including Brigadier Ahmed Hamid Al Yaqoubi, Commander of the 23rd Infantry Brigade, and Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousifi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning.

In parallel, Maj. Gen Matar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, received the Peninsula Shield delegation to discuss mutual military priorities. Both sides emphasized that effective collaboration and shared knowledge are critical to maintaining strong regional security. The delegation also visited key military institutions. At the Military Technological College, Brigadier Ahmed Khalfan Al Hadidi, Dean of the College, briefed the Commander on the college’s academic curriculum, advanced technologies, and training programs. The visit demonstrated Oman’s focus on developing skilled military personnel through modern education and hands-on technical training.

Furthermore, the Commander toured the Maritime Security Centre, where Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi outlined the center’s operations. He highlighted its role in protecting Oman’s maritime zones, ensuring safe navigation, and enforcing environmental security. The delegation received a detailed overview of the center’s facilities, advanced technologies, and operational systems, emphasizing Oman’s readiness in maritime defense.

Oman’s engagements with the Peninsula Shield Force underline its growing military cooperation across land, air, and sea domains. Through these visits, Oman reinforced its commitment to regional security, modern training, and operational excellence. Military cooperation remains a key pillar in Oman’s strategy to maintain peace and stability in the Gulf region.
