Oman Showcases Exports At Tanzania Trade Fair

Oman is showcasing its products and investment opportunities at the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, known as Saba Saba 2026, as part of efforts to expand trade with East Africa and support the country’s economic diversification goals.

The Omani pavilion has attracted strong interest from visitors and officials since the exhibition opened in Tanzania’s commercial capital, featuring 24 government entities and private sector companies.

Oman’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Saud bin Hilal Al Shidhani, visited the pavilion and met representatives of participating organisations, highlighting the exhibition as an important platform for promoting Omani products and strengthening commercial ties between the two countries.

He said Oman’s participation reflects the longstanding historical and economic relationship with Tanzania while creating new opportunities for trade, investment and business partnerships.

The ambassador noted that the exhibition provides Omani companies with access to the wider East African market, home to around 220 million people, and supports efforts to increase the presence of Omani products across the region.

He also praised the work of the Omani Products Promotion Supervisory Team (OPEX), which is helping national companies expand into international markets by promoting exports and connecting businesses with potential investors and commercial partners.

As part of the exhibition, OPEX and the Omani Embassy in Tanzania will host a business forum bringing together entrepreneurs and companies from both countries to discuss trade cooperation, import and export opportunities, and investment prospects.

The initiative supports Oman’s Vision 2040 strategy, which seeks to diversify the economy, strengthen non-oil exports and attract investment into key industrial sectors.

Through its participation, Oman aims to enhance the global competitiveness of its products, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and reinforce its position as a regional industrial and commercial hub while expanding its footprint in promising international markets.
