Oman Celebrates Heritage and Skill at Annual Traditional Weapons Championship

Al Buraimi kicked off the 11th Annual Traditional Weapons Shooting Championship, celebrating Omani heritage through sports, culture, and community engagement. The event opened at the Al Buraimi Governorate Shooting Range, attracting enthusiasts, families, and local participants eager to showcase their skills. Organizers emphasized that the championship provides a competitive platform while preserving traditional Omani practices.

The championship runs until 13 December and features professional-level shooting competitions. Additionally, a series of accompanying activities enrich the experience for all visitors. These include a camel parade, Al Ayyala folk arts performances, a paragliding display, a classic car exhibition, a productive families showcase, and a traditional weapons exhibition.
